Enrollment Update for 2010-11

Registration Info

  • Registration will take place 2/1/10-2/28/10
  • Lottery will be in effect, so it doesn’t matter whether you register 2/1 or 2/28
  • Immunization and physical forms are on the DO web site
  • Families who register new students should be notified in March of their acceptance
  • MV Families who register for PACT in February have a very slight chance of losing their place at their home school. For families who register after February, all bets are off.
  • Twins will be “buddied” so that in the lottery, they both get a number but if either is selected, they will both be accepted
  • Interdistrict Transfers
    • It is unlikely that new interdistrict transfers will be accepted. If a new interdistrict student applies, they first must get a transfer from their home district. If accepted, they will then have 2 weeks to submit the MVWSD application. In February, they should go to the DO to complete a one page enrollment request form.
    • Renewing interdistrict transfers must renew their transfer annually. If you do not renew by June 11, 2010, you will be withdrawn from MVWSD.
    • Interdistrict families with incoming siblings should get their transfer from their home district and go to the DO to complete the Incoming Interdistrict Enrollment Request form.

Enrollment/Registration FAQ

I understand that acceptance to the school is based on lottery. Does anyone have any idea how many student slots are there vs. the number of applicants? I want to get an idea what's the chance of getting in.

This year (2009-2010), we had 60 Kindergarten spots. The number of Kinder spaces varies based on factors such as space. Regardless of the number of spots available, we have a wait list and are generally able to accommodate everyone on the wait list by this time of the school year. This year, we had a number of kids on the wait list, but due to movement, we have been able to accommodate all Kinders on the list.

I would like to visit PACT and was wondering if there will be dates set up for visiting or should we call to schedule a visit?

There will be a schedule of tours and informational events posted to the website. For the most current information, subscribe to our Future PACT Families email group.
